FAQS

How much is fence installation?

The cost of a fence is determined by several factors. The main determining factors are the type of fence material chosen, the style of fence built, the type and number of gates installed, and, of course, the number of linear feet of fence required. (The perimeter of the area where the fence will be built is used to calculate linear footage.) Pressure-treated pine is the most cost-effective material for privacy fences.

Draw directly on a Google map, then select fence and gate options and we'll be able to get you an instant free price estimate.

Who owns the fence?

Your area's land rights may differ. As a result, you may need to check with your local tax assessor's office to obtain the exact parcel or land dimensions. However, the owner of an existing fence is usually the same as the owner of the land where the fence is installed.

Hall Fence Company does not perform property surveys or imply property lines. If there is an existing fence, check with your neighbors to make sure it is yours. For a fee, a surveyor can mark your property lines.

How do you install a fence on uneven ground or a slope?

Fence slopes and irregular ground levels can be difficult to fence properly when using pre-fabricated panels. Large gaps at the bottom are common, as is uneven capping.

Hall Fence Company does not use pre-made fence panels. We create custom fences. Custom fences (or stick-built fences) allow us to follow the lay of the land (topography) more closely and provide a much smoother transition. Custom transitions can be added as an upgrade to your fence installation.
